Well,
I figured once I had this up and operating I would post this to let others know. I have an HTC Droid Incredible smartphone and I have downloaded a program called Torque Pro. The progam is $4.95 in the app store. Then I purchased this from Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... OTORS:3160 It took about 1 1/2 weeks for it to show up but came well packaged and worked properly. It gets plugged into the OBD2 connector and transmits information to the smartphone from the ECU. With this program you are able to read and reset codes but you can do much more. This morning on the way to work I graphically depicted the O2 sensor outputs. Having a P0138 and P0158 coming in occasionally I was interested in continuous output values. They are pretty much straight lined, like a dead persons EKG. Fortunalely, I already have replacement rear O2 sensors to put in. This progam will allow display of any sensor data that your car has and you can output the datalogged information once I figure out exactly how to do it. The only real drawback is that you have to dig a little to figure out how to do stuff. No real manual or anything. There is a forum where you can research what you are interested in doing. So this is by far the best $16 I have ever spent on a car. (I already had the smartphone) I hope others that were looking for a reasonable solution for a scanner/datalogger find this helpful. It only supports OBD2 though, so if you are earlier than OBD2 you are out of luck.
