how do i figure out what kind of obd system i have!?!?! when i bought the car it already had a 96 motor into a 89 body!! i was told the o2 sensor was one way to find out, i have 1 wire sensor up front?!? also, while we are on this subject, i am currently installing a sr20 dp which doesn't have a o2 bung for the rear o2 sensor, can i just zip tie that sensor out the way or should i weld in another o2 bung in??

If you have a car that is in running condition now, pull the computer from the passenger side kick panel and see what part number is on the ECU / computer.

If the car is set up for an oxygen sensor i recommend running it to keep the computer happy.

Your 96 engine in a 89 car is probally set up as an OBDI.

yeah. The computer use the o2 sensor under 2,800rpms and on less than half throttle i believe. You could just go to a hardware store and pick up a nut the right size for 80 cents instead of paying 8$ for one off the net.
