obd1 obdI port doesnt work on my 96 s14 w/ sr20....HELP !!! searched !!

On my 96 s14 w/sr20det swap and I bought a piece of software to monitor and adjust issues and run codes but it runs on obd1 port only... but my issue is it doesnt work .. is there a port replicator that dups obd1 to obd2 so i can possibly read it this way?? or do i have to have my obd1 port wired in (omg No ) .. please advise if you know or have any ideas.. thanks in advance.

you shouldn't be able to get an odb reading off an sr equipped car.
