OBD1 KA24DE knock sensor

I need some help here guys, serious help. I just rebuilt a kade and put it in my 95 240sx. all issues resolved except for a knock sensor code. Ive replaced the knock sensor and the pig tail. my question is this, I painted the block. Could this be causing the knock sensor code? I need to get this fixed asap. It wont let me rev past 3k while not in gear and driving i cant rev past 1800 rpm. if i give it to much throttle its like its choking out.

i think it gets the ground from the block, but i am sure you didnt paint the inside of the bolt hole, so i don't think the paint is the issue. is the wiring good to it?

everything that ive checked appears to be thats why im at a loss with it.

problem resolved......clogged exhaust......well not sure yet if it fixed the knock sensor code yet or not but it deffinately fixed the driveabilty issue

Glad you figured it out. Had a civic my son used to drive did that. Wouldn't rev at first then completely wouldn't run. Clogged cat threw us for a major loop!
