My OBD scanner of 5 yrs is no longer linking with my Q45. The scanner still works fine on my Lincoln Ls as it did with my Q for years. Each time I try to scan the Q now, it says link error. What do you think could be the problem?

Hey guys,

I have done a quick search, but this thread is recent and relevant to my question.

I have an Australian Delivered 1994 G50 Q45. Am I correct in thinking this car doesn't actually have an OBD2 port to connect my scanner to? Before purchasing I did a quick google search and saw some info saying that the car has one. But I have gone for a look and not sure where it would be? After further googling I am a bit concerned that it doesn't actually have the port.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

In the US, OBDII ports weren't installed on the Q until the 1996 model year. Everything before that just had the Consult port - which is a Nissan-only interface. There are several consult adapters available for use with your PC and some software, with varied degrees of success.
