How do you remove the OBDII access panel? It feels like the panel is going to break if I pull on it. Are there latches or screws somewhere I can't see?

No screws or latches. When I picked up my Rogue on Monday my panel was off and was inside the center console. There are two tabs on the top. Grab hold of the bottom of the panel door and pull. It was a snug fit when I put it back on but it was a simple "insert two tabs at the top in the two slots" and push back in place.

Thanks! I just yanked on the panel harder than I ever imagined needing - and it finally broke free. Now, what's the other port to the left of the OBD port?

You can find all the information about your car by browsing the pages of Factory Service Manual (FSM) (index page is FWD section):

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Rogue/2014%20Rogue/

If you learn how to read this manual, you can literally rebuild your car.

Here is your answer:

Just look at page IP-22 on the factory service manual of 2014 Rogue: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Rogue/2014%20Rogue/IP.pdf. From that description, it looks like it is called an "accessory connector"

However, to learn what that connector really is:

1. Open "Power Supply, Ground and Circuit Elements" section http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Rogue/2014%20Rogue/PG.pdf
2. When you check page PG-35 (Main Harness), you see there are two connectors" M-22 and M-116, side by side, under the steering wheel
3. Now look at the table on page PG-36:

M-22: Data Link Connector (aka OBD ;) )
M-116: Calibration Control

So, I believe technicians use this port to check the calibration of the sensors, or update calibration value etc.
