OBD II won't link

Hello,

A while ago I posted because my obd II scanner wouldn't link with my 05 sentra. The responce I got was that if I had no cel light on it wouldn't link. Well my cel light is on, and I still can't get it to link. I saw a good article on this site about retreaving the codes by playing with the ignition switch, and the gas pedal. I'm having trouble finding it though. [having one of those days]. Any help is appreciated.

Check your reader's manual and make sure it's set up right.

It turns out the scanner I bought won't link with some imports. bought a newer obd II scanner, and it works well. If autozone was a little closer, I would probably have gone over there instead. I heard AZ won't erase the codes anymore. Guess you have to do the battery disconnect to erase them. Glad I bought a new one though. Makes diagnosing much easier if you own your own.
