Anybody else shocked by Obama's speech and how it went about? Spends the first 3 minutes doing a shout-out to the crowd, then brings up what happened in Fort Hood?

The man(if you can call him that), has no love or respect for our Military, and this just piles on with his other actions(lack of meetings with the top generals, lack of meeting with wounded soldiers at any military hospitals, lack of decision with Afghanistan, and now this).

What a disgrace. Telco where you at homie?

Other than the fact that he was giving 'shout outs' during the press conference before the Fort Hood speech as if he were at a Knicks game?

Or the fact that he said that Joseph Medicine Crow 'won' the Congressional Medal of Honor when the fact is that no one 'wins' the CMH and that he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Freedom. Big difference.

Seriously,I disturbed me was the choice of President Obama's words. Instead of using words like 'we' or 'us' in order to show that he speaks for the country in an attempt to bring people together, he just spoke about him self and his job. That was really weird.

Nice piece that is saying what I, and many others are saying.

This guy is in way over his head and has no business being POTUS.

He's a guy with an unknown track record (other than a propensity to vote Present as a Senator), a background with Acorn, a long background with an America-hating racist minister, etc etc etc. People get what they vote for.

George W. Bush Visits Fort Hood, Wounded SoldiersFORT HOOD, Texas (AP) ― Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, visited wounded soldiers and their families near the site of the worst mass shooting on an Army post in the United States.

The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood's Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood's military leaders and hospital staff for the "amazing care they are providing."

Sorry, Bush simply has way more class than Obama could ever hope for. Sure, he spoke at times like a 10th grader......but he has class.

He also doesn't need an entourage of Media and cameras before he does something like this.

There are reasons our Military loved GWB as President, but loath President Obama.

I'll be cautious here and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Wait.

No, I won't. Did the lefties give GWB the benefit of te doubt when they piled on his initial response to te 9/11 attacks?

He's ill-prepared and poorly advised.

I'll sleep like a baby tonight if Kanye West says, "Barack Obama doesnt care about military people."

Not that they are thrilled with Obama, but you may want to retract the "loved GWB" statement. Senior officers supported him; many rank and file younger enlisted men hated him.

Among my son's peers at the AFB he is serving at, almost to a man the guys on the flight line hated the Bush Administration. They rightfully perceived that all they were getting was lip service and no factual support from GWB. That they didn't come out forcefully and publicly about it had a lot more to do with the oath they have taken to accept the Commander in Chief as their top commander, whether they agree with his policies or not. That, plus pressure put on them by their commanding officers to be good soldiers and not rock the boat.

Maybe the Air Force viewed him differently. I can guarantee you the Navy and Marine Corps loved him. He made his mistakes, but they supported him and viewed him many levels higher than Obama will ever dream of(not that he gives a rats a** about the military, because he doesn't). I live in San Diego. HUGE Navy/Marine Corps town. 90% of my friends and family here are Military, and I was a bad leg injury away from being in right now.

I can't speak for Air Force though, as we don't have them here.
