You do that. Color me "called out".
dusred wrote:I agree with you here. People really should chill out. . . but jokes about the disabled. . . come on. . . That's pretty low.
I make jokes about dead babies, the holocaust, and other such hilarious subjects. People need to learn to realize that you can joke about ANYTHING and, so long as you're not being serious, it doesn't make you a bad person.
Admittedly, the President telling a holocaust joke probably wouldn't be a good idea. Hell, him making THIS comment wasn't a good idea either, but that doesn't mean it offended me.
Anyone who is offended by anything that is meant in jest, ever, is a weenie. No exceptions.
dusred wrote:Again, discriminating against the disabled is the same as discriminating against race and if Obama would have made a racial joke about white guys he would have gotten even more hell. Or would he? Damn. We live in a screwed up world.
Again, joking isn't discriminating. Show me where he discriminated.

And I'd be harassing you on that sermon too.
YES, it was a dumb thing to say, but only for political reasons, because there are weenies out there who take things too seriously. He DOES, unfortunately, have to craft his words to please these weenies, but that doesn't mean I think he deserves to get blasted over something that was just an innocent comment. It's not like he'd thought it up before the show, he didn't know he was going to be talking about bowling. It was just a slipped comment. Relax or GTFO.
