there really isn't that big of a gain from any sort of aftermarket intake. People just think they can feel the difference because their engine is louder now, giving it the illusion of "being faster"

that's why my stock airbox is going back on my 240, and so I can race G-stock inautox. Last time they made me run sts just because I had a cone filter. It is my ONLY aftermarket mod too.

but the intake is necessary if youre gonna run more than just an aftermarket air filter. i doubt i could run the same setup with a stock airbox on my alty.

true, but I like to be competely stock for auto cross races. If i have an intake, I get moved up in class ranking. To me it's not worth the .1 whp to keep it on. I like the clean look of the stock airbox anyhow.

umm i dont know exactly how it works, but all cars are in diff classes, so a STOCK 240 wont be in the same class as a vette, or like if you have some suspension pieces you wont be racing a wrx with full suspension and runnin 20 lbs

same chasis, but the motors bolt in a lil differently and there is some type of lines (dont recall which ones) that you have to re-route. the 91-93 is the best one to get if you want to do a SR swap. I want to get another S13 91-93 and put a RB in, but until then, Im gonna try to finish my altima

speaking of power steering lines, nissan just quoted me 465 bucks to get and install new powersteering lines and a front crank seal. How much would these parts cost me from a normal shop (checked napa and partsamerica to no avail) and no labor (install myself)

front crank seal is $10 from Nissan. install took me less than 30 minutes (had to reconfigure the pulley puller setup) as for the PS lines, I guess that would be an issue for the QR altimas. unless you are talking about the 240, for the 240 I would just do it myself. I dont think they would be that hard, just time consuming

these problems are on the 24o, and i heard the front crank seal was a biotch becasue u had to take off the fan shroud and what not. is that true?"
