Yeah what about if i got a OBDI ecu would it just plug in??but i really shouldn't be asking this cause its a daily driver i dont wanna start with itI'm probably just gonna get a cold air for sound, no exhaust dont want to draw attention to myself unless i find a quiet exhuast that doesn't cost a whole crap load of $Ill put on the Unorthodox pulley and when the clutch goes the UR clutch and flywheel and maybe brake upgradeswhat brakes fit the altima?? cause i know q45 and 300z brakes fit the 240. also does the 2000 Altima SE have sway bars on it??I know it has a front Strut bar though

its got a rear sway bar and you can get a better one thru swa. so far the only big brake upgrades are the maxima kits and thats if you know how to piece the two together. ive heard of one big brake kit for the alty but its way expensive and i cant remember the brand off hand. you can get a maxima muffler for nice sound without being way noticeable. go for the swa pulley instead of the ur pulley. its cheaper and lighter and has produced more hp on a dyno than the ur. you can swap to obd1 but the people that ive known that have tried it, werent too successful. i went from obd2 on the engine to obd1 on my car but that was a very easy switch.

oh ok well i work at UR so i get a discount, who has a good CAI, and i know OBX is sux but how is there header/down pipe? on ebay its $189 Injen only has a short ram but i dont want another short ram though at low speed it just sucks up hot air

hotshot makes a good cai, place racing does too. im not sure about obx's downpipe, my header came with one. ive seen some nice kits for the 240 but im not really familiar with them. give alex or kevin a call at swa and ask them. they deal primarily with nissans and can point you in the right direction if they dont already have it there.

speaking of obd2, im almost ready to start modding my o2 altima, will the obd2 really give me THAT much trouble with mods (itll be just /h/e for now though)

its not that it really gives any problems, its just that you dont really see the gains as obd1'ers do... the nice thing is that for the most part, nissan engines happily take to the mods. i mean, not even the ecu can deny that there is more air flowing thru the engine. you just cant advance the timing or mess with sensors like you can the obd1's.

actually i was thinking of relocating my knock sensor if i try to make more power, i know it has been done on spec Vs in the past, but will it generate a problem with my altima?

if it works on a spec, it should work on your altima.

umm its a 2000 altima, and the 240 i have one but the rear frame rail is pretty rusted through, so im buying another chassis and doing everything, bushings, changing every arm, nismo motor mounts, then eventually after i do all the suspension, oh and 300zx brakes, ill get a LSD open diff sucks, then a while after that ill get my turbo. i have a whole crap load of stuff for it like shocks, springs, sway bars, stbs, rotors, aluminum driveshaft, UR flywheel,UR windowed kevlar clutch, ill be getting the UR pulley, new injectors (mine are leaking) have a S-AFC the rest of the cobalt gauges, ive got a lotta stuff to do and no $$$ but its all good in time

im kind of in a delimma of my own, im undecided whether i should continue saving money over the next year and a half or so and pick up a 24o, get her running right, and sell the altima afterward, or just use that 24o money and buy some wheels, tires and bolt ons and such for my altima?? what a delimma

well my parents aren't cooperating with me getting the 24o, so if someone wants it, jump on it!, its a great looking car for dirt cheap, id hate to see this fall in the hands of someone that doesnt deserve it. The only problem ts an auto, so a 5spd swap is needed, and then you're on your way
