I bought a generic O2 for my SOHC S13 engine. My check engine light is on for a few minutes whenever I start my car. Does generic not work as good as the O2 made for Nissan?

Does someone make a good code scanner for the 1990 S13 SOHC?

I'm pretty sure there is a way to read it directly off of the ECU itself, unless SOHCs are different.

Look here.

Just an update. I checked my ECU codes and guess what? I need an O2 sensor as well. I figured I did because of my 15 mpg but this confirms it.
