Well actually how come a OEM O2 sensor is more expensive than lets say a Bosch one? I felt bad for my brother because they charged him $250 at Honda to replace it in his Civic. I was like I could of done it for you in 10 min but dam that really sucks.

Honda o2 are generally more expensive. Ever seen the price of both o2's for a Civic HX? You'll **** a brick once they tell you. And you can only get them from Honda. I guess thats the price you pay for being slow..err..I mean being environmentaly friendly.

Thats different because that model uses a wideband 5 wire O2 sensor.... No matter where you get one of those itll cost some serious coin.

The reason it cost 250$ is because of the (nissan dealership info, but should apply to every makes dealership) 75$ one hour fee for work, and the 100% parts price markup. So basically it should be around 175$ for the part, or 87.50$ at dealers cost, and the 75$ labor charge that the tech only see's 8 to 15 dollars of.... Oh yeah the service writer that wrote the ticket gets a cut as well :)

Um yeah that should be about right.

edit: and they dont even have the courtesy of throwing in lube...
