hrmm...this is so weird... i've always had extremely bad gas milage on mah sr...so the other day when i was replacing my heater hoses, i noticed that the white and black wire had been sliced on the o2 sensor..so i replaced it yesterday and now it's still getting the bad cold start that it's always had..and it still seems that it's running rich in the higher rpms which are still symptoms of a bad o2 sensor..i do have the brown wire in the battery tray area connected to 12volts so..i don't understand :/..it's really annoying heh.. ne1 have ne tips?

I have found that different ECU's also give different gas mileage. An auto #63 ECU will give me about 400-450 miles per tank, whereas a stock manual #62 ECU would get me about 300 miles per tank. I think the manual ECU would actually recieve TPS signals where the auto would not.

Gas mileage is somewhat random since everyone has there own opinion.

yeah, but i mean, it can't be this bad :-/ i'll get 210ish out of a tank if i'm lucky.. i'm still trying to figure out why it still runs rich at higher rpms and why i still have to hold it at 1500 rpms until the motor warms up :-/

TPS is a big deal. I dont know exactly why. I know that my sr is actualy an Auto motor. 6 or so wires on on the TPS. Supposing you happen to have an auto TPS and a manual ECU.. Heavy Throttle has info on rewiring the TPS.

The rewiring is no problem. But an with an auto ECU, the ecu just ignores a manual TPS.
