Ive had my swap done for about 8 months now but I still think the o2 sensor isnt working properly (running rich). my problem is the wiring near the battery tray. i dont think i spliced the 02 sensor wire into the right source. Heavy Throttle says to wire it to a switch 12v supply. i think i just spliced it to the wire that was the same color. the car is running fine just not optimum.my question is - where should i tap a switched 12v power supply (please be specific) Thanks in advance.

I used the sr's brown wire from F10 to the brown wire on the cars E10 connector.

i just spoke to jeff from HT and he said to wire it to an "on 12v supply" basically like wiring a fan without using a relay? does your car run rich? what kinda mpg are you getting?

alright i think im going to piggyback wire the o2 sensor to my fan and fuel pump relay. do you guys think this is too much draw for the fuel pump fuse?

My brown O2 power wire is spliced off the Ignition/coilpack power splice. Thus there are 4 wires being spliced together there. Works fine, I get 29 MPG.

But I am not entirely sure the brown wire will help your rich condition.

ok looking at my setup - i found that the outer brown wire on the sr engine harness is connected to the outer brown on the chassis brown wire. the inner brown wire on the sr engine connector isnt connected to anything. is this right?

also, i started my car and disconnected the o2 sensor connector and nothing happened at all. it still idled like normal. is this normal?

I dont think the brown wire on the KA harness is what powers the O2 sensor on the SR harness. This is why heavy throttle specifically tells you to find a twelve volt source and not splice the brown wires together.

The disconnection of the O2 sensor may not give off any audible clues whether its working or not. If I disconnect mine, you dont hear or feel anything, but if hooked up to an emission testing device you will see the O2 emissions at idle go down, and emissions at the higher RPM's skyrocket.

i tapped the SR Brown wire to the fuel pump relay along with my electric fan. So far i dont see any noticeable increases in MPG but I think the stock o2 sensor is fouled because of running rich for so long already. Im going to order a new o2 sensor from Phase 2 and I'll see if that does anything. Ill let you guys know.
