i don't see a problem running the car w/o the sensor just for cleaning purposes.

You can run the car w/o O2, it'll run like crap but why remove in the first place?

I think seafoam causes no harm to O2 sensors.

just run seafoam through, then switch out the plugs and 02 sensor.

Well O2 sensors aren't exactly cheap, I beleive this is a good idea, but I would plug the hole.

an experenced mechanic that used sea foam for 20 years told me that the O2 sensor does not need to be removed, he also said that the sea foam cleans it.

Well the reason it is reccomended that you replace your O2 sensor after using Seafoam is to insure the sensor is carbon-free after the cleansing.

Instead of replacing the O2 sensor, I would just take it out, plug the hole, run the Sea Foam procedure, then insert the O2 back in.

THe 2nd O2 sensor ont he S14 is NOT used for tuning at all...it's there to tell the ECU if you have a functioning cat.

So if you feel the need to replace the sesnor, only do the primary one...

Just FYI...
