O2 sensor?

well i just threw the code p0158...time for new o2 sensor...what brand should i consider gettings since i am doing this at home...and how much does it cost to get the computer flashed or reporgrammed? i need htis done soon so i can get my inspection which expires this month.

i got bosch in both sides that ive had to replace, but the universal one is only in the passenger side. as far as the computer flash, the 2 dealerships close to me charge $100 to do it.

100!!! seriously. thats too much for just a flash. u think like a private shop does it or something or does nissan have to do it?

just unplug the battery for an hour. That should do it.

as far as i know it is a dealership only thing, and no, unplugging the battery wont fix it like a check engine light. they hook a laptop up to the computer and change the parameters of the o2 sensors to tell the heater in the o2 sensor not to turn on as early. and yea the universal one was a bit more work, but about 20 bucks cheaper than the first one i did. the first one i changed was also a bosch but it was specifically for the pathfinder, not the universal.

if i remember right, buzzman on here or someone on here got a dealership to do it for free, you might call around to any dealerships close to you and check first.
