ok, i know i need to replace my o2 sensor, i have another one. i know where its located on the exhaust maifold. i know how to turn a wrench. i did a heavy search. (i couldn't find a post where someone actually showed it. just found where they skipped explanation. basically before install then it's fixed )

my question:

do i just unplug the harness, then take out the old sensor like changing a spark plug (pull it straight out)? (i believe yes)

but then my real question is there a proper torque i need to put in the new one? what is it. and how would i go about getting that proper tourque? cause a regular torque wrench won't work.

O2 sensor screws out. 7/8 inch wrench. i wouldnt worry about torque . just screw in all way and maybe another .25 turn. i used anti seize crayon on threads.

i found the following pics in the tutorial link in my signature under oxygen sensor and exhaust manifold

thanks, that's just what i needed.

i knew 7/8th would work as well, cause when i ran out of metric i had to use standard.

i didn't want to sound like an idiot, but just wanted to take the proper precautions.

A torque wrench will work on this you just need an o2 sensor socket.

Just tighten it up real good though.

Autozone/checker and other stores have a specific o2 sensor wrench that will make your life easy. If you round off your o2 sensor you will be sorry...lol
