I put my wideband about 2 ft away from the turbo, I want to know if it's too far to read it and if it's safe enought for the sensor prevent building up excess carbon. I have a open dump wastegate , I am not sure if it will affect the A/F reading from it

2 feet is good. You don't want it too hot because too much heat and backfires can damage the sensor. You also want to mount it in such a way that water and vapor buildup in the piping won't rest on the sensor. innovate suggests locating the bung between 10 and 2 o'clock.

I haven't heard any problems about open dump wastegate. It's gotta be more accurate than sticking the sensor in your muffler anyway, and I have a friend that does his tuning like that.
