O2 sensor question....

I have a redtop SR and I ordered an O2 sensor from an 87' 300zx turbo. Problem is the clips don't match, I know I need the skinny type o2 sensor and I have that one....It looks like a got a 4-wire plug with the 4th pin blocked off (it has 3 wires only tho). So yeah WTF?!?!

Basically I have this plug on my harness:- - -And the NEW o2 sensor looks like this:- -- o

- = pinso = blocked off

Also this is a pre-cat sensor that I ordered (I geuss the Z has 2 of them)

FYI

The o2 sensor from the 87' 300zx turbo that you need is the after the cat one.....Parts list doesn't specify....hence the confusion

i'm not sure if yours is the same, but when i got my "universal" o2 for my SR it was the square type and i had to splice in the plug from my old sensor. the square plug was to match up the wires to the pinout of the stock wiring.

the colors were pretty evident, two were the same color on both sides. you can just match them up.

cut the pigtail off of the old stock sensor and wire it up to the square adapter plug with the new sensor.

hope that's not too confusing, i can't seem to type right now.....
