Am going to order two O2 sensors from sparkplugs.com. Do you need the one with the 72 inch lead (24157 part #), or are the 16 1/2 inch leads (24142 part #)workable. Or is one of them left and one the right?? Do those require re-using the old wiring? (I know about the crow's foot wrench and the difficulty of removal).

In doing the plenum, does Joe's kit include all the stuff on Wes' s site write up, or do I have to add things(more hoses) to Joes kit?? It appears that one is stupid to do the plenum job without changing the knock sensors---correct? What about plugs being easier to do then too??

Finally, my driver's side cat pipe is cracked at the heat shield and can't be easily patched. New pipe is $580 with discount. Anyone think I can get this off and back on myself or should I give up on OEM and let Meinicke do the pipe?. If I did that, would it be worthwhile to cajole them into replacing the O2 sensors. Thanks

You just need the 16in lead.. The stock o2 sensor leads are only like 8in long...

My list includes the coolant and secondary air hoses, which Joes kit only includes the primary air hoses. really thats mostly all you need, but youd hate to get in there with broken hoses. Joe lets you return them too!

You wanna do KS, but the plugs will only be mariginally easier... Good to do it all at once......

Are you referring to the cat pipe, the pipe that goes in between the header and the cat?

OEM harnesses are both ~14". Dropping the exhaust is doable, but it's heavy. 2 people can tackle it. Nothing wrong with giving Meineke an OEM part to install if they're OK with it.

Don't trust website part numbers. Call them to confirm the correct number.

KS and harness are at bottom of plenum. Replace if you have 80K+ miles on them, or you will be back soon.

Water heater hoses, radiator connections, valve cover gaskets are all much easier with plenum removed. Might consider the radiator baffles also.

Sparkplugs when they are due.
