2000 maxima runs good with Chk Eng. light on. Codes are P1320,PO301, PO430. The code for the three way catalyst function in bank2 is where I need help. Mechanic ran a diagnostic and suggested O2 sensor. Which one would I replace and could it possibly be another issue.

For the catylist Bank-2 you are going to have to replace the catylist itself and replace the 02 sensor for that bank as well. Just replacing the 02 sensor is not going to fix your issue. The P1320 is the ignition signal primary and P0301 is cyl #1 misfire whcih these Maxima's are know for bad ignition coils and the best way is to replace all 6 six coils and spark plugs. Each one of these repairs are going to be expensive not matter what. Does the vehicle runs slightly rough at times??

Vehicle runs good, an occassional sputter or misfire is possible, but the light has come back on without a misfire, after I erased the codes. A local shop ran a diagnostic and couldn't give me any more info than what the codes had already told me. I tested all the ignition coils and they were all working. The mechanic told me the Bosch Platinum plugs are not as good for the vehicle as the OEM plugs.

Nissan cars in general and bosch plugs do not get along. Go back to NGK [OEM] But also you can not test and isolate the failing coil since it is eratic. If you get lucky and can catch the failure on a DSO you can nail it down. However this is as good as having a specific misfire code like you recieved. It is highly likely your #1 coil caused both the P1320 and the P0301 codes and you could probably get away with replacing just that coil for now. You may have the 1320 come back when another coil starts to go out. Since it is so common we typically recommend all 6 at the dealer to save the loss of a second cat. This misfire it self is what caused the bank 2 cat to fail and a good reason to replace all 6 coils as it is the opposing bank to the coil that threw a misfire code. The coils last I remember are approx $75 a piece so yea very expensive repair without the cat which will likely run around 500 to 1000 bucks.

There is something else you should probably have looked at as well. Have a loaded alpha check done. You are looking to see if your leaning out under load. Bad airflow meters are pretty common on the 3.0 A33 max. If you have the old AD200 part number airflow meter this is likly the case and will also contribute to the cat failure. Running lean over heats the cat.
