o2 Sensor mismatched colors?? Help

I got a Bosch o2 Sensor and as shown in the pics it goes white,black,red. Now assuming black is my ground, my SR harness comes out as black, yellow,brown.

My question is, since I'm extending it, can I just crimp the ground white wire coming from the bosch plug, onto my black wire coming from my o2 sensor in order for things to match up at the SR plug? And for the other wires?

From searching it says that each wire gives a certain volt so thats why I ask about crimping the other wires.
