o2 sensor difference

i had this posted in the general forum but should have put it here. is there a different between the sr20det and de o2 sensors?

I doubt there is much of a differance. Its a narrowband right? I would ditch it and get a wideband FWIW.

I dont see a need for it personally. I would go with a wideband.

Leave the narrow band intact for the ecu. Drill and tap a bung for your wide band for your a/f gauge and tuning. Yeah use them both.

all narrowband sensors are the same.

they all have 1 single wire of a particular color that will submit 0-1V to the ECU. the rest of the wires are one of the following:

+12V input for the O2 heater-Ground input for the O2 heater-Ground redundant for the sensor base

Sometimes all 4 of these are present (4 wire O2)Sometimes 3 are present (3 wire O2)sometimes only 2 (2 wire O2) and sometimes 1 (1 wire O2)

In each case:3-wire O2 = (1 wire signal, 1 wire +12, 1 wire Ground)2-wire O2 = (1 wire signal, 1 wire redundant ground)1-wire O2 = (1 wire signal)

if it has 5-wires then its probably not a narrowband O2 sensor
