Hey guys i was wondering how to delete (trick) the o2 sensor. I have a 1997 240sx and I wanted to delete the second o2 sensor (after cat). Any info on this would be great.... I've seen o2 deletes on ebay, but I'm just a lil iffy about those. Any help would be great!

I Just put in a DC sports racing header and had to replace the 02 sensors. I'm having the same problem with the second sensor. Because the bung they put in the header is not the same as stock I have to come up with some sort of hybrid 02, and I'd rather just eliminate it. If someone has dealt with this before some help would be greatly appriciated.

Well I'm happy I'm not the only one who wants to delete an O2 sensor. I figured a resistor would be needed, but wut ohm (ibeleive thats the correct word) is needed? Any help or experience would be great!

Just out of curiousity, why would you want to remove it? Trying to keep it from entering closed loop?

I had the same problem, except I didn't get the DC header. I have a Greddy (goes down to the downpipe only) header with a Megan downpipe (header to second cat, with flex section) to eliminate the first cat and to eliminate the chance of the Greddy header from cracking.

On the Megan downpipe, I had the same problem with the bung not matching the 02 sensor. So I went to a hardware store, bought a nut that the 02 sensor can fit into, then took them to an exhaust shop to have them weld that nut onto the bung of the Megan downpipe. That's how I fitted the second 02 sensor on.

So what's the benefit of "deleting" the second 02 sensor? I know that my first 02 sensor (the one that goes into the header) was in bad shape. It made my car run like crap. After I had it replaced, it made a world of a difference. I'm not too knowledgable with this.
