o2 sensor bad?

will my CEL come on if my o2 is bad? i'm getting bad mileage and I read it could be the o2 sensor. all my other emissions stuff is good, and i'm not getting a CEL.

unplug your o2 sensor to see if driving improves. it is easy to clean o2 sensor but you may as well replace if in doubt. cel is not always that great.
