o2 sensor 1984

got a new o2 upstream sensor. went to install it, but can't find the wire that its supposed to connect to. Does anybody now the location of it under the hood.

does the wire have a black coating around it. the wire inside of it is white?

On my 85 and 86 both have wires that run from the loom that parallels the the firwall. It does have an outer black coating but not sure what the original color wire is as mine have both shorted out and burned some where in the history of the trucks. I just spliced them together.
