I searched the forums and no one has posted on this problem and I'm just wanting to confirm or not...

I have a ca18de harness that's running my ca18det.

The ca18de had a one wire O2 sensor, while you guys know the ca18DET has a 3 wire sensor.

Can I use the factory ca18de 02 sensor to run the DET with the DE harness or do I need to wire up the three wire sensor?

Hmm Good Q the Ca18det o2 sensor afaik has 3 as you say 1 for signal 1 for power and 1 for ground now if you have the cade loom i would use that sensor as how would you wire up the 3 wire sensor

unless you got or a ca18det loom and enigine then go power fc style

So you think it would be okay to use the ca18de 1 wire sensor? Since that goes with the harness I'm using to power the ca18de.

The 12V+ and ground are for the internal heater on the O2 sensor and aren't nessicary. My only concern would be that the stock ECU, expecting the heated O2 sensor's faster warm up time, will start using the O2 sensor's input before it's accurate and may effect the running of the car when it's first started up.

yeah, my o2 heater went short circuit, so I cut the red wire with side cutters.

Car didn't do anything too horrible. I live in a warm climate, so that could make the difference.

Single wire will be ok. But if you have the patience, I'd go looking for a 3 wire sensor out of another locally sold Nissan, and cut off the 02 sensor loom connector.

Yea, it certainly warms up faster. IIRC, my 3 wire heated up in no more than 30 seconds, while my 1 wire takes at least a min., maybe more when it's really cold.

Well I got it started - runs like crap...

Self -Diagnostic sent back about 5 codes...

It idles at 2000 rpm also, gonna try and go through the diagnostics on each of these sensors it's showing bad and double check/replace as I can.
