Good Day,

I have this code coming up on my 95' Maxima with 150K miles on the clock.

I read the code using my Auto Enginuity code reader. I believe this is the pre cat O2 sensor on the passenger side.

I am I correct about which senor it is and would it be safe to say that this O2 sensor is defective?

Do I need to buy an OEM sensor or can I get an aftermarket O2 sensor, if an aftermarket one is OK what would the PN be.

Thanks in advance

Ben

The title for trouble code P0150 is "O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 1". So it might be the sensor, but it might not (sorry). Check the connectors, harnesses and so on, if they are OK then you likely need a new sensor.

Bank 2 exhaust is the one that comes off the back of your engine, and sensor 1 is the one upstream of the catalytic converter.

Magnes,

I was under the impression that Bank 2 was at the front of the engine according to the "How too" section.

Cheers,

Ben

Bank 1 is ALWAYS the bank with cyl #1 on it. So bank 1 is the firewall side. Bank 2 is the radiator side of the engine on this car. It is likely the O2 but check the connector and the harness near it for problems before just replacing it.

According to Mitchell, cylinder 1 is part of the cylinder bank facing the front of the car, but I'll trust NISTECH over Mitchell any day.
