Any opinions on using, instead of the OEM, the Bosch O2 heated sensors for my vehicle application that need to be spliced into the OEM wiring since they don't come with the OEM plug. Are they the same electric spec as OEM? They are sold at Pep Boys and Auto zone, etc. at a reasonable price compared to the dealer.

Is the knock sensor the same for the 1998 I30 as the 98 Maxima with the VQ30DE engine? I can mail order the Maxima one at Courtesy Nissan in Richardson Tx for $120 and wondered if I can use it since the Infiniti dealer here in Orlando wants $195, rip.

I need the bulb for the Check Engine light on the instrument panel as it is faulty. I have been unable to get the part # from Infinity, something about I need the bulb in hand to get the correct one. That involves pulling the bulb and then order it. I would appreciate a part # so I can order it and pull apart the dash only once.

Thanks in advance

Try sparkplugs.com for the O2 sensor. They should have a somewhat generic one that comes with a harness for a little more than the non-harness one.Call Scottsdale Infiniti (another site sponsor) for the knock sensor. They have an OEM unit priced at 123.06 on their site. I wouldn't use any other unit unless you are 100% certain they're not different.1-888-216-5328The LED might not be the problem. Could be the wiring/contact. See if it's possible to trace the accessible wire at the ECU to check its continuity before going any further.
