What does O2 Housing do? Everyone seem to have it, but it's 210 bucks of well, nothing if I don't know what exactly what it does. Can someone help?

Its the actual exhaust peice that attachs to the back of the turbo, the factory one has aiv, and 02 attached to it. Its a good upgrade if you already have 3 inche exhaust cause it frees up the exhaust more, and gives u a lil more power and better turbo spool.

Also, the aftermarket ones usually seperate the wastegate flow seperately to prevent turbulence in the main exhaust stream which gives more flow, and like everyone else knows, more flow is more horsies. Like said above, these extensions/elbows are bigger and let the turbo breath (spools quicker). A 3" exhaust will also help in power/spool.

Well, I have 3" exhaust with 3" downpipe. I plugged my AIV hole. What you are suggesting is getting a greddy or hks turbo extension right? It should come with the o2 housing so you can just plug it in right? Am I close or lost?

It comes with everything, new studs, nuts, gaskets, O2 sensor bung screw, everything. Well at least my greddy extention did.

It will definitely help if you are running a 3" exhaust to upgrade the O2 housing. You've got a restriction on your exhaust with the factory O2 housing. It is bottlenecking flow from the turbo, especially if you are running higher boost levels.

A screamer pipe, or o2 Dump pipe, is a devided o2 housing. The larger main pipe connects to the downpipe as usual. The smaller dedicated wastegate pipe doesnt connect to anything. the effect is extreamly loud when the wg opens up.

thanks guys. I'm getting the greddy one on ebay now so when I come back home, I'll install it and add some stuff here and there to see if I can get any gain on the dyno.
