I am 95.3% sure i didn't install this O-ring when i assembled my ka. What will happen if i do not install one? I only have 43.7 Miles on my motor still braking it in. If i dont need it i will wait until i turbo the motor and install it when i pull the motor back out...

IIRC, no or bad oil pressure.

Edit: I believe it is called the hat gasket.

You NEED that gasket.

I overlooked it during my rebuild as well. I would get 30psi oil pressure at cold start then it would slowly drop, the lowest I let it get was 8. After pulling the valve cover I was gettig oil up top, but I yanked the motor and just finished getting it back together last weekend.

Not worth destroying your engine over a $6 part. I can get you the part number tonight if you would like...

you can pop the timing cover off without dropping the pan, far enough to get it in there and you dont have to pull the engine that way
