What is it with the freakin' birds and my new Versa? I've NEVER had so much Bird Crap on a car in my life. This morning I thoroughly cleaned the car and late this afternoon I noticed that at least two birds had bombed it again. Looked like they did a side by side straffing run. From the front bumper, over the hood, up the windshield, and along the roof. Either that or the sucker flew in circles bombling away. I had a white Caravan years ago and don't recall it being this much of problem. My wife has a beige Sebring (which was washed about 2 months ago). This evening I checked it out thoroughly and not one sign of bird doo doo anywhere even though it sits parked next to the Versa most of the time. I've only had the Versa since April 21st and this is at least the 10th time it has been plastered. I'm concerned about the paint being attacked by the acids.

So what's the scoop? Any body else with a white Versas notice this? How about those with other colors?

Alfred Hitchcock is dead ! Try parking in a different area and see if the birds are going after your ride - probably not. I came out one day to my car and it looked like the birds dropped white paint - globs of it (on a black car). The other option is to get a car cover. You do need to get the bird droppings off the car, as you suspected the acids can be damaging to the clear coat.

I had the same problem until I killed one of the birds to make him and example. The rest got the idea. I used to experience the same problem when parking at work. I would come out and there would be poop all over the car. It took me a few days to figure it out. I was parking underneath a power line which was the bird hang out in the mornings when I was in the office. I've moved from that spot and no more poop.
