O/D is troubling me

It's too bad my first thread here has to be aboot car problems but I just can't figure why my car is acting up. I got myself a 93' 240SX and when I'm in O/D and going about 80km (or 50mph 4 u boys down south), I'll let off the gas to coast and when I step on the throttle again I feel a hesitation and then it thuds into gear. Thats the only speed or gear that it acts up like that. It would be much appreciated for any light you can shed on my problem.

have you tried servicing the transmission ?

No I haven't but the transmission fluid is good, it was done before I bought the car and that was about 6 mounths ago.
