Need a little clarification. (I also read your post in the other thread.)
Is it just your O/D dash light that doesn`t come on when u press the overdrive button, or does the truck stay in 3rd all the time?
At highway speeds, do the revs change when u press the button?
Thx.

the o/d does not work, you press the button o/d light dont lit and nothing happens . but if you first start the vehicle the o/d light turns on which means the light indicator is working.

OK, maybe I've got this wrong, or yours is different, but on my truck (2002), the overdrive is always enabled (default setting). When I push the button and the O/D light comes on, then the transmission shifts OUT of overdrive, and locks into third. If I do this at say 60 MPH, the revs will go up by about 800 or so, from about 2,200 to roughly 3,000 RPM's.
How does that compare to what yours is doing?

on my r50, you have all gears enabled, but if you press the o/d button, its supposed to switch you out of final gear and into third (mine's 4speed), so im guessing if yours uses the same method, you have all gears enabled, except you just cant shift out of the last gear.

monkey.. i think your dead on the topic... i guess im wrongfully explaining it, sorry guys.. but yeah its engage and if i press the button while doing 60 it doesn't do anything, o/d light don't lit, and no change on rpm's, so any idea what might be my problem?

hmm, sometimes the od button wire gets disconnected or the button is broken (possible problem), just a thought, but it would explain how your "o/d off" light is still working and how your transmission is not throwing any problem codes.

No codes then transmission is out of the loop. OD button is working proof is OD light on and off, transmission solenoids for 4th , final or OD is not seeing input signal. If it was transmission would up shift but it doesn't and no code or speed indication. Look for broken wire, solenoid stuck but doubtful. Has oil in transmission been changed or is it in use a long term. Often changing the oil also brings out crap and filings, these filings can interfere with the solenoid mechanics even though electrics are working, but a DTC should be in memory. Read with scanner.

well if it was flushed completely last year along with the filter change, i doubt its the fluids, it might be the the button got disconnected somehow, by broken wire or some other culprit maybe fuse? check those first
