Right on the squad car door.
"courtesy"
"professionalism"
"respect"

I didn't see any of that.
Of course the kid was a D bag so I'm not that put out by the whole thing.

I think it's easy to take this little video out of context. From what I read, this was not a parking ticket gone wild, but an unregistered car. That would mean it doesn't get ticketed, it get towed/impounded. The cop was standing in front of a front tire, and the cardigan creep ignored two requests by the cop to stop. I'm guessing the car ran over the cops shoe (and missed his toes). But I'm sorry, if a cop standing next to the car yells stop, and you ignore him twice and begin to drive off, you're a dumbshiat and should be cuffed, but hey, FWIW his D-list league celeb GF is cute  NYPD FTW

I was all in favor of seeing him drive away from the parking ticket being written until he decided to run over the cop's foot. What a douche.

That looks like a designated parking area in front of a hotel so I dont understand why he was getting a ticket.

It's a valet area, and the valet had the key, but it appears that does not protect you if the car is unregistered.

Car had a NY tag on it at the end so I'm not sure how it's not registered?

Just because it had a license plate does not necessarily mean it had a current registration.

I like how the driver lays there on the ground for 5 mins and the cops block off the area with cones.

I was hoping the twink would've gotten knocked out of at least one shoe....ha. He didn't even take any shots to the head from the cop. I'm a bit let down.

Don't ever push or attempt to run over anyone with your car. Especially a cop. Your foot could always slip.

I read the ticket was for no front plate.

Chabbott was illegally parked and the Spider had no registration or inspection stickers displayed. The car also lacked a front license plate. He was charged with assault, vehicular assault, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.

I was about to point out the lack of stickers. Cops will seldom write you for a front plate in NY unless they are looking for something to write you for. The car appears to have no legal inspection. Even if It had been inspected, the sticker was not on the window, and the sticker must, by law, be attached at the time of inspection by the inspector. There was no registration sticker displayed, which is also illegal. If there is one thing that NYS cops take seriously, it's vehicle registration / inspection. The fact that someone drove the car away indicates that it was paperwork, not an actual registration violation. If the car was not registered, they would not let anyone leave with it. Failure to display documents is not an impound violation. The car could have been impounded for the lack of inspection, but the car does not appear unsafe, so I could see them letting her leave with it, even if it wasn't in order.

Bottom line, dude's a douche. What did he think he was going to accomplish by driving off? I've seen lots of collectors run without their stickers displayed because they "look bad". It's a pretty stupid reason IMO.
