I searched but could not find any threads where this was addressed (it's possible I missed some though).

The windows in our NX usually operate normally, including the lock and 'auto down' functions.

Periodically however, they both stop working and will not go up or down. When they fail, none of the switches work, they are stuck in whatever position they happen to be in.

This happened earlier today but now they are working fine.

It is always BOTH windows that fail. Any idea what might cause this?

Did you have any luck finding the cause?

I would suggest checking the fuse for the window switch. See if it's loose or if the window switches work and then stop as you wiggle the fuse.

We don't drive the NX much, and the problem is intermittent.

I appreciate the suggestion and will give it a try.

Maybe a loose or corroded connection in the wiring connector or a bad master switch.
