NWP looks to make good stuff. I've seen alot of people on the org that are more than happy with their spacers. I'd honestly look for a variable intake thou, mevi or 00vi with the 00vi being at the top do to better power gains. The USIM is garbage.

i agree. i wont do an 00vi because of the time required. my car is a daily drivers so i think i will stick with the mevi. i just have to get one and set it up.the mevi and 00vi work with those spacers so as long as they are worth having. they are just a step on the path to more power

Ehh depending which way you go the 00vi isn't much work. And is cheaper/better powerband than the mevi. But the 00vi WONT work with the spacers do to the uim being a different bolt pattern than the 4th gen. Which isn't a biggie since the 00vi uim is already plastic unlike the mevi and usim. The spacers will help the mevi and I've heard it helps a bit with the low end loss that the mevi creates.

ehhh the mevi is more of a bolt on operation compared to the 00vi which requires modification and ecu swaps or fuel rail changes or boring of lower intake plenum.. it'd rather just slap it on and run a relay with the mevi..

i thought there was an advantage to swapping the ecu.. i think i saw a writeup somewhere on the the advantages and disadvantages of different 00vi setups. which involved different fuel rail, lower intake, throttle body, and ecu setups.
i think it depends on which setup u go with.. maybe im wrong...???

Maybe your thinking of adding on a VAFC? which is more of a piggy back. It's a little more accurate opening the butterfly's than a rpm switch and you can adjust the AFR with it and such. I personally plan on going with the 4th gen lower 5th gen TB 4th gen IACV w/adapter. That way I can get away without tuning it for the larger 5th gen injectors thou it does add a little more work since you have to fill in some holes and tap new ones so the 5th gen upper will fit.

hey whats the deal with the VIAS block off plate the NWP has?? isn't the variable system what is so good about the 00vi??? why would you want to block that part off??

so i just got my spacers in..it seems like it would be a little tricky to put the LIM on with the rtv sealant and keep everything lined up.any suggestions on how to do this. it sounds like something i would mess up and one of the main reasons they work is because they have a smooth transition. i don't want to mess that up with human error
