yea technically they are illegal everywhere

it all depends on the year of your car and what kind of emissions laws your state has.

If you have OBD II and your state has emmisions, you're screwed. If you live in Cali, you're screwed. Otherwise, most states don't have horribly strict emmissions laws as far as I know, so you should be able to get by. If you live in cali, better find a friend at a shop that likes money

In NV, you can pay off smog shops. I wouldn't worry about it. After a $150 "tune up", your car would pass emission for sure.

You don't have to have a smog inspection if the car is registered outside of Clark and Washoe county. If you live in Reno, just get a PO Box in Fernley or Carson or use a friend's address who lives outside of Washoe. In Vegas it might be a little harder. Maybe Boulder. Or you can always pay someone off.

i live in cali and yeah im screwed too!!!but for around $150-300 passes u for smog!!

b16 doesnt pass either
