My car is a 1992 Nissan 240SXSE with no mods. 105,000 easy miles. It very suddenly started missing on #2. I found oil in the cylinder and a fouled plug. A mechanic friend put a adapter in it to raise the plug and it runs great, but is is burning oil and suffers poor gas mileage. Can anyone tell me what you suspect is wrong. I bought the car new and have had no problems until now. Proper maintenance has always been done. I did run a can of Seafoam through gas, intake, and crankcase with minimal results. Any help is appreciated. James

It could be a number of things.Valve stem seals, valve guides or worn piston rings.A compression check would be a good place to start. It is a shame you are having this problem with only 105,000 miles.
