Hmm...still expensive for a kit tuned for such a low boost.

you dont seem impressed by it. I kinda am since Im not a know it all when it comes to stuff like that. And I think it would be a great startout for my s14. Then I guess overtime I could build it up from there.

Yeah, I didnt know very much when I bought my 240, but I learned slowly, then where I really learned a bunch of suff was when I bought the donor engine, which I jumped into way over my head, which is cool because now some 1 year and then some later, Im planning my motor swap to start next weekend (like the 6th of june) and I hope its worth it. Basically I HAD to learn.

If you buy a pretuned kit your limited, but if you build it right from the bottom up, you can really stick it to it and upgrade.

Considering the size of the intercooler and the fact that it is a complete kit, I'd say it's not a bad deal. And in my opinion, I would use a NSport Kit as a base to start my turbo kit if I was buying a new kit. The only bad things I can say about it is the BOV and the wastegate. But not much worse off then other kits and rather easy to upgrade.

True, I would buy the Nsport kit over the others currently available. I guess I don't consider the simplicity of buying a complete kit if your fairly new to forced induction.

Does Nsport allow you to pick and choose parts. That way you could purchase your own BOV and such.

Yes, you can purchase a Nsport kit without the wastegate and bov. Or you can purchase a kit with a tial wastegate instead of the turbonetics and a HKS SSQV BOV instead of the Bosch BOV that comes with it. It is a great turbo kit for starters. The turbo is big enough so that you don't have to worry about upgrading it until you get past 500hp. Also, you will never have to upgrade your intercooler. Yeah, it only pushes 7 psi, but you get almost 240rwhp with this kit too. There is always room for improvement. Just make sure that when you purchase a kit, you have an upgraded clutch or are going to buy a clutch kit. The stock clutch will not handle that kind of power increase. Thanks.

Do you get a price break if you get it without the BOV and wastegate?

Not really since I am already discounting the kit $500. At that price, I am like giving them for free anyway. Haha!

Well, the 4-5 month thing is over. Now the wait is about 2-4 weeks. I should be running the special for at least a month.

I wish there was an option with NSPORT where you could choose the turbo--that way I could ditch that fancy "tweaked" T04B and just get an internally wastegated T3 (which I'd use for simplicity in plumbing/set up), I'm sure a regular internal wg T3 would knock at least $200 off that price over the cost of the T04B. Just my opinion though. i'm in the market for a custom kit, I may piece one together myself because I'm sorta capping myself at $2000 (a lot of $ for a 17 year old who only works on weekends.)

If it were $2500 now, or even $3000, I'd definitely get it. But for the almost bolt-on nature of the NSPORT kit, I'd say it's worth it.

I hear you on that note but the turbo that comes with the kit is probably the best that you can go with. It will support all of the hp that you want. It truly is a remarkable kit. I used to have one on my KA until I went RB25DET power. The intercooler with this kit is massive. It is so nice, I had to keep it when I swapped my ka for the RB.

How much fabrication of the bumper area does it take to install that kit with such a large intercooler?

You only need to cut the bumper support for the intercooler to fit. It isn't that hard, you will be able to see where to cut it at. Let me know if you need some more info.

The turbo kit will fit any DOHC 240sx. When ordering, just let us know what year 240 you have so that we can have the downpipe made for that particular year.

I called them too and Nsport said that the wait per kit is 2-4weeks. My kit will be ready to ship monday, so it only took mine 2 weeks to ship.

The answer to my question is prolly a big fat no, but does Nsport sell an intercooler kit or an unflanged (turbo side) downpipe sepereately?
