I have been reading for a while on KA-T after SCC destroyed SRs and soon to be RBs. I do not post much so sorry if this has been covered I have searched on many boards (FA, zivlia) and I would like to know, on a fully built motor, How much power does the Nsport turbo kit make. By how much power I mean on pump gas like at either 10psi. 1bar and 18psi., also I would like to know when the intercooler peaks out. Sorry for the bad grammar, it is late.

one more question that might be stupid, Are there any stand-alones for the KA for management other than the JWT ECU?

first off u wont get much more hp on a fully built ka over the stock ka on the NSport kit due to the fact that u wont beable to turn the boost up. the nsport kit runs off of an fmu which runs the fuel system at a very high pressure to begin with. so a ka rebuild with a nsport kit is useless unless u upgrade the fuel system. if ur turning it past 7 psi u will need larger injectors and u will need to loose the fmu and either go with a jwt retune, stand alone, or piggy back system such as the apexi S-AFC II. im not sure when the intercooler peaks out but the nsport kit comes with a very large intercooler so i would say it could handle anything up to 400 at least. as for stand alones, yes they are out there but i do not have much experiance with them so i will wait for sume1 else to post that has more knowledge about them. im not sure if the TO4B is a turbo that is good for running 18 psi but i may be wrong. i just think it would start to become inefficient at that psi.

so.. on a fully built ka with a nsport kit u are going to have to upgrade the fuels system if u want to up the boost. how much boost do u plan on running? 10, 18?

any other questions u have? i hope i didnt make u think the nsport is a bad kit because it is a very nice, wellbuilt kit. it comes with a huge intercooler that will handle pretty much all u can throw at it and the turbo is proven to put out some nice numbers. the kit delivers the most power out of the kits out there (comparing stage 1 anyways). im just saying if u use this kit u will need to upgrade the fuel system if u decide to add some power.

You should upgrade the fuel system anyways. That is a given, the stock injector can not handle more than 270hp. Get bigget injectors and a Super AFC and you will be in heaven. I have a friend running a Nsport kit that he bought from Accelerated Concepts and he got 306hp to the wheels with upgraded injectors and the Super AFC. He also has forged pistons and rods. His car is soo nice to drive on the street because of all the torque that the ka puts out. Hope this helps you out some. Just call Ben at Accelerated Concepts, he has the best price on the kit and can give you some advice on upgrades too.

Whoa...

Stcok injectors will barely get you over 200rwhp with an FMU...

I'd say 240rwhp MAX - That's stock injectors + FMU @ ~7psi...

FYI:

370cc at stock fuel pressure (say with an AFC or JWT ECU) will give 260-270rwhp, but not much more.

Just so people don't red that and think they can run 270hp on stock injectors...

Later - Brian
