I have a 93 240sx SE, stock, 95,000 miles. I am really thinking of buying the stage 1 setup on the Nsport website. I am trying to find out how good (or bad) an idea this is. I live in California that means stupid smog laws, damn I hate them so much. Will I be able to get this thing smoged? That's the main question I have. Also, is this something a professional should do. I have done some minor engine work, mostly on a 72 Chevy 350, a monkey could build one of those. Finally how much bottom end do you think I absolutely have to build up? Thanks for the help.

im not really sure about the carb laws cause i dont kno how u guys get tested and what not but about the installation from what i hear u should beable to do it ur self in a day or so. as long as u r machanically inclined. running a stage 1 no bottom end build up is neccessary. u might want to upgrade the fuel system rather than a build up.

You will not pass smog in CA, unless it is an illegal test or the tester has no idea what a turbo is.

The NSport will run fine without a bottom end build up. Assuming there is no problems with it. And the install for the most part will be no harder than installing headers. It will take longer. You will need to do some minor body cutting and remve the oil pan so you can install the bung for the oil return.

Basically you're screwed if u live here. :(

I know a smog place that will "smog" it. But what a hassle the whole thing is. I hate California for all the crap laws it has...

The best to place to buy a Nsport kit is http://www.acceleratedconcepts.com and contact Ben. He sells them the cheapest and you won't have to pay tax if you don't live in Florida. I think he is selling them for $3495 shipped or something like that.
