With Nissan NS-2 fluid going for $20+ a quart I was wondering if anyone is using the Aisin (atfns-2) fluid. Rock Auto sells it for 7.10/qt. Aisin makes the Nissan CVT's and this may be the factory fill for their junk. Anyone know?
Thanks

:welcome:

Nissan uses Jatco transmissions, and is part owner of Jatco. Aisin is a subsidiary of and makes CVT's for Toyota.

I can't comment on the quality of Aisin fluid, but Amsoil's CVT is synthetic and superior to the OEM stuff. It's been used by a number of Rogue owners and comes highly recommended.

Dont use Ns-2 Anymore
Ns-2 was made by SOPOS . Rebranded as Genuine Nissan and Ammsoil. They are the same product

NS-2 is a poor formula and was part of the Jatco CVT issue.

-Ns-2 poor quality
-Insufficient factory cooling
-Scheduled recommended fluid changes that was way too long.
-Leading to a clogged Pump Valve in the Jatco units.

Nissan Stealerships dont repair the CVT Jatco units when it was repairable which lead to further poor reputation.

In comes Nissan now contracting

NS-3 Fluid. Which is backwards compatible with NS-2.
NS-3 fluid is now made by Idemitsu. Far superior in lubricating, longevity and heat coping.

For every cvt e52 owner I strongly suggest flushing to ns-3 and installing a external transmission cooler.
Change your pickup screen filter in the pan too
