This is for anyone considering buying the NRG Thin Quick-Release. This is the result of (lightly) hand-tightening the bolts from the wheel to the outer-most part of the quick-release system. Can someone say inferior metal?

I contacted NRG, I will update to see what they have to say. I checked to see if they were a sponsor first, didn't want to be ragging on the "home-team"

By hand-tightening I had meant with normal tools, like a allen wrench and a socket set. Not like a power drill with an attachment or a torque wrench. Of course after the fact, it sounded like I am either blessed with extraordinary strength or nails filed in the shape of screwdrivers.

Ya, it is pretty much (1) MM of metal between the outer edge and the thread, not really much support. Thank god I wasn't drifting when this happened, but I would trade a totaled car just for one that actually could drift, stupid automatics.

I bought this from 240sxmotoring, which hasn't steered me wrong before, and I have no doubt that they will get it straightened out. Pretty solid service IMHO.

Maybe I should get the bigger Ver 2.5 with the flange. It's only another 1.5"
