Hey guys , i live in The crappy State of California where fun is only a dream so i have a question. I was thinking about buying this 2 NRG QUICK RELEASE+HUB+STEERING WHEEL ... 21:27 PDT) NRG QR steering wheel and was wandering if it would be legal. I have done some researching and found that i can replace the steering wheel is the car didnt come stock with airbags. So that means i can instal it in my 1992 240sx. But i was wandering if you guys have links to official proof or anything. Or if you guys can tell if the wheel has to be approved by anyone(groupe). Thanks in advance and im sorry if it is a long and confusing question.

Install it anyway, the worst you have to do is swap it back out for inspection.

Just because you live in California doesn't mean you're in a prison man haha.
I installed my steering wheel a few days ago, and I live in California.
Just like mRodiek said, worst that'll happen is you have to swap it during inspection.

You can never came with an airbag so I wouldn't worry.

Try calling Momo customer service. They sell a lot of steering wheels and might have an answer for you, and they are very friendly.

I live in south San Francisco, where cops are a$$holes and Ive never had a problem with my NRG quick release/deep dish steering wheel, Ive even been pulled out of my car by a cop and took the wheel with me, right in front of him. (out of habit...), He Didn't say a word just looked at me funny and asked if I was afraid of him steeling my car :chuckle:

I also live in california, and have installed a sparco deep dish wheel, no horn, and exposed wires, been pulled over 3 times since installing it and they have yet to ask about it. And the inspection shop didn't say anything about it either
