I always had a feeling that this was possible!

It reminds me of that other video of the Autolock, where it was anti theft lock that was "virtually bulletproof". They even tested the lock by shooting it with a gun, and it didnt break! Eventually a kid on youtube showed that you can pick the lock just like the how the guy did in the video you mentioned.

Sell the lock if you want. No biggie. The rest can still be used. The lock is STILL extra protection. And even if they get past that, what are the chances of them having half of the QR?

Hey guess what.

Locks can be picked.

It's not like he stuck a flat head in there and popped it open.

The guy that made that video was a professional locksmith. He can probably pick some pretty complicated locks, and to be honest, a small lock such as that used in the hub is simple.

Locks are meant to keep honest people honest. If someone wants to defeat your security measures, they will. The same goes for all forms of security, whether it be a car alarm or hub lock.

Use the locked hub, you're not going to have someone immediately run out and pick the lock and run off with your steering wheel.

The more work the thief scum has to put into stealing my car while the alarm is going off, The happier i am.

Nothing wrong wit a little more extra protection.

That key does not use teeth, it uses balls placed and embedded into the key's blade.

I am not quite sure how much harder/easier it would be to pop that sort of lock, but if "I" was a thief and i saw that on a steering wheel i would not think it was worth the hassle to even try and mess with it haha. That is me though. I would think if the steering wheel is missing and there is a freaking lock looking thing in its place you would more then likely have a bomb a** alarm system. So depending on where the car is parked i would not mess with it.

You made a smart investment. Don't beat yourself up over it.

a crow bar works too. quick releses are pointless if your buying it for security. a kill switch and an alarm is much more effective. or a f***ing garage.
