So I just got back from the convention and it was a pretty good time. They had everything there you could possibly want for self-defense. Tasers, swords, handguns, assault rifles, shotguns, repeaters, you name it. Got some good info on the next gen. Glock and got very interested in purchasing a Mossberg 535. Very cool stuff. Here, have some pictures...

Here's me with a UMP45 and a G36c!

And here I am with an ACR.

These guns were cool.

Anyway, uh.... comment if you wish?

Oh I also went to the after thing where I saw Newt, Glenn Beck, the navigator of the Enola Gay, Charlie Daniels (who can suck it btw), and a couple others. It was... ok.

You're my hero, that gun rack looks like the wall rack from MW2 and I thought you were older than that...

I was drooling over a stripped down, single shot version of the ACR which was only a mere $1,800. :chuckle: The "nest gen. Glock" is this: http://www.bluesheepdog.com/2010/01/25/ ... ay-patrol/

It looks beautiful. I would LOVE that .45. They had them at the show.

Went to the one in Houston a few years back. Good times. Bumped into Ted Nugent just wandering around. The f***' Nudge! Good times.

What's your beef with Charlie Daniels?

Lulz.

My beef with Charlie Daniels is the lyrics to one of the songs he chose to play:

And I`m madder than hell and I ain`t gonna take it no more
We tell our kids to just say NO
And then some panty waist judge lets a drug dealer go
And he slaps him on the wrist and he turns him back out on the town
Well, if I had my way with people selling dope
I`d take a big tall tree and a short piece of rope
And hang em up high and let em swing till the sun goes down

I know several people that sell pot. They are all like the nicest, most awesome people you'll ever meet. I assume that pot is what he is referring to, and not illicit drugs. I don't really have an issue with anything else about Charlie... He is definitely not as talented as he used to be. He was missing notes on his fiddle left and right on a few songs. The band playing with him was AWESOME. Guy on drums had double bass and like a 12 piece set and knew how to play it.

Oh, and Chuck Norris was there Friday night, but I didn't get there until Saturday. :frown:

Dope can mean any number of illicit drugs. Meth, heroin...He just used the word dope to make it easier to rhyme.

You might be right, but it just made me think about the dumb rednecks around who are totally closed-minded and can't be reasoned with. People who would rather be ignorant than listen to an opposing point of view.

Looks like an awesome time. I wanted to go to the one a couple years ago in Louisville, but couldn't make it. You do know that Charlie just recently had a stroke, right? Might take him a bit longer to recover. ;)

WTF is a "Deag"? If you are referring to a Desert Eagle, then you don't deserve one. I can't stand people who call shotguns "shottys" or Desert Eagles "deagles" just because its so gangsta like. Do you want a Fotay too?

For the record, I have a bunch of shotguns and a Desert Eagle in 50AE and I never call them slang names.

/pet peeve rant off

To the OP, cool pics, bro.

Oooooooh kay.

Anyway, 3rd line in the song "Long Haired Country Boy" should clear things up.

I'm all about nicknames. Who call s AK's, Avtomat Kalashnikova, model of 1947? Nick names are fun.

Plus I play CS and do not own "real" guns. I'm not the soldier some are.

The difference that it is a shortened acronym. Whereas a Deagle is used in CS/CSS(I play CSS).

I've never heard of anyone refer a shotgun as a shotty. That's just gay and I would not shoot with that person, or atleast let them shoot my guns...

You wouldn't let someone rock your shotty?

I hear UMP45's called Umps. Bazookas are named after a musical instrument they resemble(according to wiki) not after their model. Nades. Ma Duece = M2. Aug = Armee Universal Gewehr. Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne aka a Bullpup. Mossy Dozen = Mossberg 500.

Do you get irritated when people call magazines, clips or parts of the gun furniture?

I hate when people call a magazine a clip!

A clip is inside of a magazine!!!

This is a clip Image

Yeah, it's just one of those things. If you're going to use a potentially deadly weapon you better know everything about it!!!

Yep, just have to go through a Class 3 dealer to get it. Then fill out your forms. Pay $200 for tax stamp. Then $200 tax stamp for every cannon round. Enjoy!

No one calls grenades "nades." Nobody. And I know a guy that has "nade" shrapnel in his forehead. The name of the AUG is AUG, like the name of the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile is AMRAAM. It's also like the FN FAL. I've never, ever heard the Mossberg 500 called the "Mossy Dozen," either, and I owned one!

Your biggest mistake, that forever brands you as an idiot fanboy? The Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne is called one of two things: the FAMAS, or "le clairon," if you're a French solider. Bullpup could mean half a dozen different sorts of bullpup style long gun.

f***' Nintendo kids.

What about ammunition being called bullets...

Is that something that grinds your gears?
