i was doing some painting in the tenants' apartment upstairs and the lady told me that some were broken and if you opened the window without guiding it, it would just swing open on you, risking getting hit on the head. so i grab one and search out some local dealers of this particular brand. i find one down in east haven and head over there after work yesterday. i show the guy the latch and he calls up his sales rep. rep doesn't answer and he leaves a message.
so he takes my name and phone number so he can call me when he hears back from the guy. then he takes my address so the sales rep could just send them straight to my house. i needed 4, 2 lefts and 2 rights. he put the call in for 6. i ask him if when he calls, i can just give him payment info over the phone. "no charge." WHAT?!?!?!!? idk this guy, never did business with him before, but he's giving me the homie hook-up. you had better believe i'll be checking back with them if i ever need any of the products they sell, and i'll be recommending them to people i know in the future.
it's just really refreshing to see that some businesses out there are willing to take a small hit in an attempt to secure a repeat customer who will spread praise of their good service. abc supply co., you rock
