Aww man, Im sorry to hear this. That was a nice car. I personally think car thieves are the lowest of the low right next to rapists.

Most likely the car is NOT being driven around, is stashed somewhere and being stripped. Sad truth, I know. It sucks.

I think it is time to move the battery to the rear and add a few little cameras on the car that feed information to my computer at home.

I've had bunch of small problems over in Daytona Beach.Bunch of cars would be broke into but they never touched my car except for one time they tried to rip off my sunroof.Don't leave it popped anymore. And I have a system in my car and they break into my friends saturn and steal his HU instead of my system. Guess they had the feeling that I would hunt them down like the kid who shot my car with a paintball.Theft is growing my friends DSM was broke into in the middle of K-Mart parking and my system was stolen.

Thanks everybody. Yep, I expect them to find it by the end of the week stripped to the bone. I don't know whether I should startup on my dad's miata (already has 1.8 swap, Sportline/AGX) or buy another S13 with SR installed. BTW, anyone want to buy an oil cooler kit for S13SR? I'm looking to get $300. Preferably local in Socal. Includes Core, lines, sandwhich plate. etc... Let me know. I need the cash now.

Are you going to get anything back from insurance? I had a Sentra stolen, it had about $3,000 in stereo stuff, and didn't get a penny. Stealing a mans car is just not right. I still think about what I would do to the people that stole my car if I found them. I'm a driver at work and I am on the roads all the time I'll keep my eyes open.

Oh my god, it looks like you had a lot of blood/sweat into that car man. It's so horrible to hear things like that. Why is it that whenever I see these stolen car threads, the people are from CA. I remember someone saying crime was high there but wtf!!!! I would be on a mission...

This is one of the reasons ive been weary of getting my 240SX back on the road. But mine really shouldnt be a high risk for theft since it looks all stock, the good parts are where you can see them, IN the motor.

How well does a kill-switch work?

At least I think its called a kill-switch. My starter was acting up, only to find that its putting out the same volts/amps, whatever as a new one....so we figured it has to be a connection somewhere.

So my mechanic installed a button that I have to push with the key turned to crank up my engine. Still doesnt crank up in 2 sec, but its not hesitating/not starting like it was before.

I would think that would be a good anti-theft device right? (needing the key)

That sucks man, I always admired rudee's car

I always hear about SR's havign problems with ignition kill switches.... which systems work properly with them?also, what exactly would qualify a turbo timer as a security device, and in what case does it allow for a insurance deduction? cuz I saw some basics on it at a website, but I'm trying to figure out what feature exactly allows it to help secure your car.
